Katie and Amazima Gifts

I finished the book I have been reading by Katie Davis.  See a previous post.  It has inspired me daily with each reading.  I was encouraged to read of her radical love for Jesus and her “doer” spirit.  Her story is close to my mind and heart as I walk through my days raising children and trying to be like Jesus.

Amazima is the organization that Katie founded.  On Amazima’s website, you will find a place for shopping for gifts made right there in Uganda.

When shopping for friends and family this season, maybe you’ll consider giving a gift made from Karimojong women in Amazima’s vocational program.   Amazima Ministries partners with over 20 Karimojong women in Masese through a vocational program in the making of Ugandan bead jewelry. All profits from the jewelry sales go directly back into the community of Masese to feed hungry children and employ a hard-working woman.

To see a clip about Juliette, one of the 20 hardworking jewelry makers, look below.
